Let’s talk flowers…

You’ve picked a date, secured your dream venue, now it’s time to think about flowers! I may be a tad biased, but I truly believe flowers add the magic to your wedding day. They’ll feature in so many of your photos, so choosing a florist whose style you love is key. But I know it can feel overwhelming! To help you get started, here are some of my most frequently asked questions. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, just drop me a wee line - I’m always happy to help.

  • That’s so exciting- I can’t wait to hear your ideas! Simply fill in the contact form, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. From there, we can chat about your vision, check availability, and start bringing your floral plans to life.

  • Every wedding is unique, and my process is designed to ensure your flowers reflect your style and vision perfectly. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Get in touch - Fill in my contact form to check availability, and I’ll be in touch as soon as possible to chat about your plans.

Step 2: Let’s talk flowers - Let’s arrange a free, informal, no-obligation consultation - whether in person over a cuppa or if you’re further a field - via Zoom/email. We’ll go through your ideas, wedding plans, and floral vision. If you have a Pinterest board, colour swatches, or inspiration images, feel free to share them (don’t worry if you don’t have a board, we can start one together!). Expect to spend around 1-2 hours discussing designs for every part of your day.

Step 3: Imagine - After our consultation, I’ll put together a personalised floral proposal, along with any images to help you visualise your wedding flowers. If you decide I’m the right florist for you, a booking fee secures your date, we’ll then keep in touch as your plans evolve.

Step 4: Final Touches - Around 4-6 weeks before your wedding, we’ll have a final consultation - this can be done in person or remotely, which ever is easiest for you. Well go over every detail, confirm any last-minute tweaks, and finalise logistics to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Step 5: Wedding day magic - On the big day, I’ll personally deliver and set up your wedding flowers, ensuring everything is flawlessly placed and perfectly styled.

If you have any questions along the way, just drop me an email - I’m always happy to help!

  • Absolutely not! Consultations are a key part of the process, giving us the chance to see if we’re the right fit for each other. It’s just as important that you connect with my approach as it is for me to understand your vision, style, and the details of your day. Whenever possible, I prefer to meet in person - at a convenient location for us both, sometimes at your venue to get a true feel for the space. However, online consulatations are always an option if that works better for you.

  • Around 12 months before is a great time. I only book one wedding per day/weekend so if your big day is on a Saturday in Summer then the sooner you get in touch the better. That being said, its always worth getting in touch to see if your date is available whether your date is 18 months or 18 days away!

  • Floral budgets are personal and depend on your vision, style, and the scale of your wedding. While there’s no fixed rule, a general guideline is to allocate around 10% (or more) of your overall wedding budget to flowers. This can vary depending on the number of arrangements, the complexity of designs, and your choice of flowers. I’m happy to provide an initial estimate based on your ideas and preferences. If needed, we can refine the details to ensure your florals work beautifully within your budget while still achieving the impact you want. My goal is to create designs that feel special, considered, and tailored to you without compromising on quality or style.

  • Yes, I do operate a minimum spend of £800. This allows me to work with the highest quality flowers and foliage while ensuring the artistry, service, and attention to detail my couples deserve.

Minimum spends are necessary due to the way flowers are sourced. I order directly from growers and wholesalers, who sell in bulk ‘wraps’ or bunches - often between 50 and 100 stems of a single variety. Since wedding florals require multiple flower types to create a cohesive and impactful design, this quickly adds up to hundreds, sometimes thousands, of stems. This method guarantees the freshest, most beautiful blooms but also requires careful planning to bring your vision to life.

Beyond the flowers themselves, there are hours of behind-the-scenes work, from conditioning each bloom to carefully designing and assembling every arrangement. While a minimum spend ensures I can create high-quality, thoughtfully designed florals, it doesn’t necessarily mean that every item on your wish list will fit within that budget. However, I always aim to maximise your investment by selecting the most impactful designs and exploring ways to repurpose arrangements throughout your day.

My focus is on delivering exceptional, bespoke florals tailored to you - prioritising quality, creativity, and attention to detail while making the most of your budget.

  • That’s absolutely fine! You don’t need to know specific flower names or varieties - that’s my job. What’s more important is your overall vision, style, and the atmosphere you want to create. Think about your colour palette, the mood of your wedding or vent, and any inspiration you love. from there we’ll create something truly special together.

  • Yes, flower availability is always influenced by the seasons and weather conditions, meaning some blooms are only available at specific times of the year. For example, peonies - one of the most sought-after wedding flowers - are typically in season for a short window from May to mid-June. However, their exact availability can vary each year depending on factors like winter temperatures and early spring rainfall. While I always prioritise seasonal flowers for their quality and sustainability, I can also suggest beautiful alternatives if a specific bloom isn’t available at the time of your wedding or event.

  • I offer a range of bespoke floral services tailored specifically for weddings and events. From beautifully designed bridal bouquets and buttonholes to ceremony arrangements, reception centrepieces, and aisle decor, every detail is thoughtfully created to complement your day. I also specialise in large-scale floral installations, bringing dramatic and memorable floral moments to your venue. Whether you’re looking for refined elegance, a natural, garden-inspired feel, or something bold and contemporary, I’ll create florals that seamlessly enhance your space and reflect your vision.

  • Absolutely! I specialise in floral design for intimate elopements and multi-day wedding experiences, whether you’re escaping to the Scottish Highlands or hosting a weekend of luxury celebrations. Many of my couples extend their wedding beyond a single day, creating unforgettable experiences for their guests. If you’re planning a small but spectacular celebration, I’d love to hear more.

  • Absolutely! When you book with me, your wedding or event becomes my sole focus. I take on only one booking per day, ensuring you have my full attention from start to finish. I’ll personally deliver your flowers, help pin on buttonholes if needed, and be on hand to style and set up every floral detail exactly as planned. From dressing your venue to making those final finishing touches, I’m there to make sure everything is flawless so you can relax and enjoy your day.

  • Yes, I offer a range of hire items to complement your floral designs, including vases, ceremony archways, candleholders, lanterns, tall plinths, urns, votives, kiln-dried log slices, and candelabras. These carefully selected pieces help to enhance the overall styling of your wedding or event. If you have your own vases or vessels you’d like me to use, I’m happy to incorporate them - just arrange for them to be with me in advance so everything is prepared for your big day. If you’d like your guests to take home the floral arrangements, I also offer the option to purchase vases, allowing the displays to be gifted in their entirety. Full details regarding hire items, including responsibilities for loss or damage, can be found in my Terms & Conditions.

  • In most cases, yes! Repurposing ceremony flowers for the reception is a great way to maximise your investment. However, there’s no clear-cut answer - it really depends on your venue, setup, and floral designs. Many venues are experienced in moving and rearranging displays, but if yours isn’t, we can discuss alternative options. And remember - that’s what ushers are for! For larger installations or multi-site weddings, moving flowers may not always be practical. We’ll go over the possibilities during your consultation or final planning meeting to ensure everything works seamlessly on the day.

  • Not at all! I regularly work with couples and clients based overseas. All communication can be managed seamlessly online, whether through email or Zoom calls to discuss your vision, plans, and floral designs. No matter where you are in the world, I’ll ensure the process is smooth, stress-free, and tailored to your needs.

  • Being based near Stirling, I’m ideally located to provide bespoke wedding and event florals across central Scotland and beyond. I frequently work in areas including Stirling, Bridge of Allan, Dollar, Dunblane, Auchterarder, St Andrews, Falkirk, Callander, Port of Menteith, Loch Lomond and Trossachs, Drymen, Strathyre, Balquhidder, Loch Earn, Loch Tay, and Killin. If your venue is further afield, feel free to get in touch- I’m always happy to discuss travel options to bring my floral designs to your special day.

  • Yes, of course! Your flowers are yours to take home and enjoy. All I ask is that any hired vessels or containers are returned unless we’ve agreed otherwise. Many couples love to gift arrangements to special guests or donate them to a local church or hospice. Some brides also choose to take flowers to the grave of a loved one as a meaningful tribute. If you’re considering preserving your bridal bouquet, be sure to arrange this well in advance, as preservation specialists will need the flowers as soon as possible after your wedding. And if you’re taking home flowers from hired vessels, don’t forget to re-cut the stems when you get them in water - this helps them drink and last longer!
